This summer I had an incredible opportunity to live in New York City and work for Ryan Brenizer at http://www.ryanbrenizer.com . Not only did I learn a plethora about weddings and engagements, I left with a plethora of experience after utilizing all I had learned there. Between weddings and engagements, I still do head shots, which always get lost in the mix. The other afternoon at a wedding I had a guest ask me if I "just did normal portraits," the answer is of course! So here are just a few of some recent portrait sessions with a variety from lawyers, to dancers, to aspiring singers and actresses.

I say back to my roots, and I mean that lightly- because horses aren't only a part of my roots, they're a part of my life and who I am. Every person who knows me is well aware of my deep love for my horse, how much time I spend with him, and how much I love seeing horses on long drives and vacations. Equally, I adore photography. (I guess I wouldn't be a photographer if I didn't, right? Har har.) My point is, when clients approach me, I'm always unbelievably ecstatic. Aside from wanting to take kick ass photos, I'm always curious about the theme, if any, and where to start in the planning process.. So you can just imagine my excitement when these sessions actually INCLUDE horses! Well, lucky for me, this one did. Edmond Equestrian Center is owned and operated by Lisa Matlock, and I will be the first to say she is the must kind and positive barn owner. I was so excited to be able to do these photos for Lisa's show team of students! Not to mention, these girls are adorable and gorgeous, and of course so are their horses.
I lived and worked in New York City with photographer Ryan Brenizer (Brenizer Method, anyone?) at http://www.ryanbrenizer.com during the month of June. Malarie and Ryan were my first wedding to come home to since my internship with Ryan, and because of that their wedding had some new elements in the photography department. Malarie was such a calm bride, a photographer's dream, honestly. She was so kind and just wanted the day to be documented, not staged what-so-ever. :) Because of that, most (90%) of all the photos are completely candid. Enjoy. <3
