Katie and Christin's mom wanted some photos for the holidays, and they decided to involve Christin's dog, and Katie's horse! Not only were the animals a super fun addition to the session, but they were hilarious and adorable. I love when animals personalities shine through. Katie and Christin were nearly laughing the entire time, making the session perfect since they were so comfortable.

Rachel came to me needing head shots for acting and music theatre. I really enjoy working with music theatre people because they're so comfortable in front of the camera and they're always so confident in their skin. Something that other people have, too, but just a little bonus from all their stage time and such!
I adore shooting these boys, and the best part is they were actually my FIRST photo job I ever did, when I was in 8th grade! Now here I am, a Junior in college, and still getting to shoot their Christmas photos, and not only is it cool to see how much my photography has grown, but how much these boys have grown. this year they truly are handsome! My, my, my. I nearly didn't recognize them simply because of how much they're growing into such handsome young boys. They both have killer personalities, too. I love fun, smart, kids.
Kristin and Tj's wedding was incredibly special. Now, of course every wedding is special, but theirs was extremely small, private, and family only. When asked why it was so small that not even close friends were there, they said because they just want to be married already. They're in love and know they want to spend forever together, and their marriage is between them, so their wedding should be, too. It was so beautiful and simple, and it was os much more intimate than large weddings, something that I think more couples need to keep in mind before getting married. What is a wedding exactly? It marks the first day of a new life, for two people as one. So many people never remember their wedding day, it goes too fast, they do too much all day, they run around hectic and are stressed, but not these two. They were just simply happy, together, in love, and excited to start life as a married couple. It seems like such a simple principle. It is one. These days we like to complicate and fabricate and elaborate, which is fine, but we should keep in mind that sometimes simplicity comes out on top at the end of the day.
Lauren and I went to school together, so when she contacted me for baby photos I couldn't be more excited to have such a beautiful opportunity to take part in her creation. Austin is an awesome guy, and large into music (they both are, as Lauren's life was dance, and she is quite the beautiful dancer) so they named the baby Hendrix! He was so adorable, and we got some fabulous moments. Definitely one of the more expressive babies that I've shot.
Juan and Marcela found me last minute, in fact- they called me just a couple hours before our shoot. The best part? It was even rainy, and we still killed this shoot. I felt so much energy in them, and the shoot in general. They've been together for years, and are tying the knot this year. I think it's very smart and respectable when couples wait a few years to get married rather than rush into anything. I'm sure they will have a blessed and fabulous marriage, as they both were beautiful, kind people.
