Hey. I'm Valerie.
I am in love with the dynamic between intimacy and vulnerability in Humanity.
I "stole" my Father's old film cameras as a little girl, and filled my days with taking images of my pets, friends, family, and of course- selfies.
At 31, I can now say I've been passion about documenting Life, consistently for two decades.
I hold a formal education with Photography, alongside my non-formal and persistent education of exploring photography on my own. I combine various lighting techniques, conversation topics, and cuing, to create an environment for my clients that allows them to feel and acknowledge their worth, their Beauty, their Story...
I love to spend my time playing my harp, hosting Women's circles, performing Energy Readings and doing Healings for humanity, connecting to Nature, Spirituality, and Harmony, doing yoga (Buti and Baptiste certified) , Pole fitness and competitions, horseback riding (show jumping and competing my horse), hiking in nature, Olympic lifting, wakeboarding, hula hooping, and playing with all forms of active flow art.
I am in love with Flow.
Combining my spiritual practices, trainings, yoga, energy, and flow, I bring some different tools to the table when it comes to how I photograph and work with my clients.
I adore experiencing and capturing different cultures, age groups, traditions, and personalities of my clients.
I often hear people express anxiety or nerves before their session-you'll feel relaxed after 5 minutes of talking to me.
Especially upon realizing... that a photo shoot with me consists of good conversation, laughs, new friends and [conveniently] really beautiful and REAL pictures of you.
Concerned or curious?
I understand that to show a stranger who you are isn't easy.
I spend the beginning of my shoots just getting to know my client genuinely.
Let me get to know you.

- Ask one of my clients all about their session with me, or guests at a wedding I have worked.
- I interned with Shevaun William's and Simon Hurst, and learned a great deal about working with people, the equipment, and the editing process.
- I interned in New York City during the summer of 2012 with NYC Wedding Photographer Ryan Brenizer at http://www.ryanbrenizer.com/. While there, he taught me a great deal about negotiating every possible situation that could pop up at a wedding with grace, and how to utilize my educated tools and personality, to create unique lighting, and timeless images.
- I have a Bachelor's Degree in Photography Arts and Public Relations with a minor in Advertising from University of Central Oklahoma (UCO)
